After a customer adds the products to the cart, id like to have them read a terms sheet and either check a box or enter their initials. If they do not do so, the checkout button would not work. Is this possible?
Thanks!

Yep. You can find these settings at Admin>configuration>regulations

Thank you for the reply. I hope you don't mind adding a little more detail. How do I actually get the initials box next to a statement that says I have read the terms and agree to the use? This would be above the checkout button. If I need to code something, can you please provide an example and instruct where I would add the code? I am currently operating off of the demo store.
Thanks
I don't know about adding an initial field, but if they check the box, which is a must before checkout with this enabled, then it will still be legal and binding to their name. One of the Admins' could probably instruct you on creating this field, if still needed.

It is done automatic when you change Confirm Terms and Conditions During Checkout Procedure from false to true.
The checkbox appears beside the statement.
Then you will edit the page to describe the url link to the statement page for your dilemma.
This will show on the checkout process.

We already established that, haredo. Oh.....that sounded crabby. Didn't mean for it to be.
The thing is, is that their client wants not just a check box, but a field where the customer HAS to enter their initials, but, checking the box during the checkout process, is just as legally binding as initials, as they are already signed in.
