    Default Product drop down menu

I'll use one item as an example. Please use this link as reference:

    http://www.sportsboardscentral.com/s...ex&cPath=65_67

I'm creating items that are in need of a drop down menu. Specifically...if you notice under the link that under the football regular season...there is an option for 1 set of #'s. Well, I need a drop down menu for every team with an a different download for every drop down menu item. How do I go about this? Thanks in advance

I think I know what you're talking about. You want your menu to go to more extensive levels....such as when you hover over "Regular Season", you want it to expand to include the sub-items, right? With the menu that you have it's called a fly out menu, and you can get EXACTLY what you want with this mod:
CSS Fly Out Menu version: image-rollover-no-css
And, you can use the same images you already have for the fly out effect.
Just, install (simple), change the included images with your own, and you're done.

That wasn't what I meant but I like the idea...What I was trying to do was just insert a static drop down menu on a specific cart item that when checking out needs to have the team picked in order to get the proper download. Do I need to make a specific item for each drop down option or can I use one item with multiple options. This is at client request so I would like to try this first but if I can't do this I will try the mod suggested...Thanks

Oh, yea.....you can do this by creating different attributes for the 1 product. There are no image (as of yet, I'm guessing), so I'm assuming that these are tickets, season passes, and such. "1 set of #'s" really doesn't tell me much.

Actually these are something all together different...If you would like to know more about them I have included the instructional boards section on the left of the site http://www.sportsboardscentral.com.
I'm not a die hard sports fan so these are still some what foreign to me...how would I go about setting up these attributes you mentioned?

You might wanna get somebody else on this issue. I can do this, if I've got to (with a LOT of time), but I'm not the one to try to explain anything about attributes, as they are still quite confusing to me.
But....some good news. Click here, and you will be directed to the tut that explains it all.

I've gone through the tutorial and I'm still a little lost. If there is anyone else out there who might know this really well.
I could use the assistance because I can't seem add the attribute properly...and I'm coming up empty on a search for posts regarding this matter.

Have you looked at this thread? Setting Up Your Zen Cart Products > Attributes - Product Options > Attributes HOW-TO

Yes, it's a lot like the tutorial, but there are following posts that may clarify something for you.

That thread was huge but combined with the tutorial I seem to have them set up properly now. Thanks to all.

I understand what you mean by the attributes and the drop down menu as I am well versed in attributes and the various ways they can be shown, but I need a whole different type of dropdown scenario.

I didn't start a new thread as the title of this one seemd suitable to what I need as well.

What I need is basically exactly like this site for a very similar type product for printers, although it is different parts but needed for the same manufactuers:

    http://www.agldirect.ca/store/catalog/index.php

Also needed on the main page like the site given for the example and not on the individual product pages.

Any hints, clues, or ideas to get me started would be appreciated. I initially had a thought that perhaps it might be something I could build in html in the main page defines page. Then thought maybe someone might have a better way of doing it.

    thank you,

    betty
