Zone shipping problems

I am using the zone shipping module and have set th GB zone as follows:

99:0.40,199:0.50,299:1.00,399:1.50,499:2.00,599:2.50,1000000:3.00

I assume that a CD weighing 100 grams will cost 50p to post but I am getting a cost of 80p.

I have set both the package tares to 0:0 and the only currency installed is GBP.

Any ideas where I might have picked up the extra 30p????

Is it a coincidence that the rate displayed is twice(40p) your lowest postage rate?
Could it be that you are pricing per item rather than cumulative weight?

Nope that's not it - definately by weight using the zones module!

I actually tested things using the 'Region Tables' module and got the same result which makes me think the problem lies with some other setting I have made...
