Making Header Tabs Change Colors

I need to figure out how to make my tabs that are in the banner change color depending on what page you are on. Last time I basically created six different headers in photoshop and the only change I made to the header was altering an individual button. Then I took the slice tool in image ready and cut slices into the header to be able to insert hyperlinks. How can I recreate that effect here? Where do I need to up the files?

If you are on the home page the button should be yellow background green letters for the home tab and so on and so on depending what page you are on.
Right now the header is just one image and you can click on it to go just to the index page.

It's considered bad form to bump threads without waiting a day for someone (who may be on a completely different time schedule than you) to answer. If you need to bump, try adding some more info; people may not be able to answer from the original post and some may just ignore a post they can't answer. (Your post is clear, and anyone with experience doing that will be able to guide you.)

Also, a tip: a post with a couple of replies says "I've been answered" to the skimmer and may not be looked at. A post with a "0" on it says "look at me".
