Simple customization - Remove Header and Footer

Just have a simple customization question.
I need to completely remove all images in the header and footer. Want a simple plain page for customer to process payments.

Also I am using the cart for services and not products. How do I remove the image place holder.?

You can completely remove the logo and tagline by editing /includes/templates/your_template/common/tpl_header.php and commenting out the entire section between <!--bof branding display--> and <!--eof branding display-->. If you haven't done it already, you can turn off the categories-tabs menu in the bottom of the header in Configuration > Layout Settings.

There are no images in the footer unless you put them there. If you want to disable it completely, you can edit tpl_main_page.php and follow the instruction comments to set $flag_disable_footer (you can do the same for the header if you really don't want any of it there).

If you mean the image in the product listing page, you can set what displays and in what order in Configuration > Product Listing.
