Two Login Changes

I'd like to make 2 changes. I have searched the board and the admin options, but I can't find the information I need. If I need to edit some files, I would appreciate knowing which ones.

1. I would like to suppress the registration form entirely. We will pre-create all the customer accounts.

2. I would like the login form directly on the main page.

To head off the "Why?": This is basically a "members-only" site; search engines and new customers are not a concern in this particular case.

Ok. I got #1, how to supress the registration form: I just commented out the appropriate section in tpl_login_default.php

Still hopeful someone can point me in the right direction on #2, to show the login form directly on the main page. Another way to do this would to be make the login page the main page.

Ok. I have 99% got #2, put the login form on the main page.

Here is the nut I still can't crack: how do I include the login.php defines? Right now, the constant literal displays rather than the constant value.

Might be easier just to grab the Login Sidebox from the downloads and only have it show when customers are not logged in ...

I decided just to add the appropriate constant defines to includes\languages\english\MYTEMPLATE\index.php

When I run across the requirement again - and I'm sure I will - I will look into the login sidebox idea you suggest.

I am very new. Could you please tell me HOW you made the Login page the main page? I want my customers to land on the login page when they first pull up the site. Thank you advance for your help -
