"New Products for <month>" Sorting

On the main page of my cart, it has the section titled "New products for <month name>".

The problem is, it is just basically a reverse order of what I entered. I don't want the last product I added to the system to be the "New product'.

How can I change what shows up as the New Products?

I know nothing about css and can navigate through a PHP file ok, if I have some step-by-step help, but this is all new to me.

You can alter what you want to show (new products, featured, etc...) by going to

Admin > Configuration > Index Listing (set fields accordingly)

New products are sorted in "Date Added" order by default.
