    If you want to tackle fixing things yourself, you can study how the Zen Cart template system was intended to be used by following articles found here:

    Unfortunately, since Template Monster typically hacks things apart with no respect to retaining the built-in admin-side customization controls, you are left on your own to figure out what their designers did.

    Zen Cart tries to make things quite flexible so that you have a minimum of need to edit any files. However, TM is only interested in turning out lotsa templates to sell them. They go for mass production rather than excellence. It's really a disservice to their customers.

    You might be able to hire a designer+coder to help you do the edits you desire if the self-help links above aren't sufficient. To do so, feel free to post in the "Commercial Help-Wanted" section for bids on the work.

    Thank you all for your replies! I contacted the company I purchases the template from (not TM but can't remember off the top of my head who it was) and they actually sent me two replacement files that they said would fix the problems. Haven't had a chance to try them out yet, but will report back if they work.

    And they did work! Man, what a pain in the ######## working with these outside templates! I think the site is going to look great when it's done though, and am really enjoying the ease of use of Zen Cart now that I'm past the learning curve. Thanks again to everyone that replied.
