Shipping weight quoted WRONG at 1 pound

Hello, I have been battling an annoying problem. When a customer buys a single item, the shipping amount always comes up figured at 1 pound. I have double checked the listings, and the weights are right, 6 pounds, 8 pounds, etc.
Here's the kicker: If they buy multiple items, it adds the weights together, and gives an accurate shipping price.
My only shipping option is USPS Priority Mail, since I sell a lot of glassware, etc. Otherwise, store pick-up is the only option given.
It's getting mighty embarrassing having to email almost every customer to tell them that the shipping is alot more than what was shown.

How about an URL to one of these products that is 6 or 8lbs that comes up as 1lb?

I am having a very similar problem. My table rate is set up properly but is not always behaving properly at checkout. Sometimes it works perfectly (adds up all the items in the cart and calculates the right shipping amount). Sometimes it comes up at 0.00lbs and uses the lowest rate only (even though the carts may have 5 items and costs much more). When I get an order that has 0.00 lbs I go into the cart and try it myself and it calculates properly (it seems like it is random). There are no tares assigned, and no handling costs - just the rate table

I am using versio 1.3.7.

Have you an URL to a Product that does this and the settings that you have on this Product?

Try copying your settings in the Modules ... Shipping ... Table Rates ... to NotePad and REMOVE the shipping module then Install and Reconfigure it ...

The cart shows this being 2lbs, but when the Order is generated, it shows 0.00lbs.

I reinstalled the table rate module when this first started happening and it still occurs.

I have not been abe to trigger this myself. Every time I try to place an order I get the correct shipping -so I am amazed when I get orders with 0.00lbs (several times a day). My add ons are just the PayPal modules and the manual credit card - nothing fancy.

Here is an order that just came in (note 0.00 lbs again)

I just changed my shipping module to Zone rates and disabled Table Rate. I am not sure if this will help or not. For the Zones I used US, Canada, UK, all others. I needed to address non-US orders anyway. Maybe this will fix the problem I had with Table Rates. Any thoughts?
