Cannot Connect To Database...

I moved to a new host, and I have a problem that I'm just getting this message:
Sorry!
There seems to be a problem connecting to our database. Please give us a few minutes to remedy the problem. Thank you.

I have checked, double check & triple checked both configure.php files and db name, username & password are all correct. Why else would it give this message?

FYI: I exported the db from the old site via phpMyAdmin, created a new db on the new host, imported the .sql file to the new db via phpMyAdmin, and it populated the database. So what could be wrong?

I seem to have remedied the problem, but it was a tricky one! I wonder if anyone else has experienced this.
The problem was that I have my phpBB integrated with Zencart, and the forum shares the same db as zencart. I thought about it that I hadn't changed the phpBB's config.php file to the new database, so I went and did that, and everything works! The forum, plus zencart. I didn't realize that the forum sql settings would make zen-cart not able to connect either.
