Default Product Priced in Euros but sold in USD

The currency conversion system is great, but it is designed for sales based on USD which can be converted to other currencies with automatic updates.

I have the situation where the products are coming from Portugal, but only sold in the US and Canada. I want to display the current price in USD based on the fixed price in Euros.

For example, a product costs 100 EUR. I need to show that price today as $128.00, but tomorrow the dollar may drop and the price must automatically change to $129.23.

The system says this requires manual changes, which won't work for me.

Does anyone know of a way to price in EUR but display current USD values?

Or, is anyone interested in writing a patch to do this? If so, please contact me by email.

    Thanks!

Place your shop as default currency as euros and display the currencies sidebox and allow the customer to select the currency they want (USD) and there will be an automatic conversion... Then also cron the currency update to keep this current

I am assuming (dangerous!) that you mean to run /includes/init_includes/init_currencies.php by cron on a daily basis?
