    Default Currencies & PayPal

Okay, I'm stretching my mind on this one.

Here's what I'd like to do:
If a Canadian user, I'd like prices in CAD which I believe is done turning on the CAD module and offering a currency selection for CAD.

Question: In the PayPal IPN module, do I need to do something with the options to allow this CAD payment to my USD account?

Also, in MY STORE, the "Switch To Language Default currency" is set to FALSE. Should this be TRUE? Everything is working fine in USD.

Just now considering adding this CAD since I've had a lot of visitors from Canada.

    Thank you.
    Cheryl

All you need to do is enable the Currencies sidebox so customers can select CAD from the list.

(And of course ensure that you have CAD as a valid currency in Admin->Localization->Currencies ... and the correct exchange rate set.)

If you have your PayPal module set to "Selected Currency", then any orders in CAD will go to your PayPal account's CAD balance (which you may want to "open" before you actually get a CAD transaction -- log into your PayPal account and click Manage Currencies)

For some reason when I try to put through funds in CDN to PayPal, there is no total passes to PayPal. I always get a $0.00 payment when redirected to the PayPal payment page. I've tried USD, AUD, and EUR and all of them work, but not CDN, any ideas? We are even located in Canada and are trying to connect to a CDN PayPal account.

CDN is an invalid currency code.
CAD is the correct code for Canada.

Go to your Admin->Localization->Currencies, select Canadian, and click Edit, and set the currency code to CAD.

    AHAHHH!
thanks for the quick response, guess I should have been paying more attention. Don't know how I got CDN instead of CAD in the first place!
    Thanks
