Categories Menu, YahooTreeMenu With AJAX Changes

I require 2 changes to this great mod
1. For the tree to load with the first category expanded showing all the sub categories
2. On the standard categories sidebox, if you select a category that has subcategories, it will take you to a category page, with the subcategories images. But on the yahoo menu, it just opens the hierarchy. I want it to link to the categories page, as well?

I have looked through the forums for this information and found a few bit about this but have not been able to get it working.

Can someone please help with the changes need

I had found the answer to question 2 by changing
define('YAHOOTREEMENU_SHOW_CATEGORY_LINK', false);
to
define('YAHOOTREEMENU_SHOW_CATEGORY_LINK', true);

but when I do I get the following error

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in .........../includes/templates/cardswithluv/sideboxes/tpl_yahootreemenu.php on line 221

But other than that it works. Why I'm I getting this error

Another problem
I have just added a new category and sub category but they do not show in the yahooTreeMenu

I need help on this as its looking like an unusable mod

categories with no products don't show up by default. Take a look at the readme and there writes how to modify that.
