Simplify homepage

Hi,

I was curious if there was a way I could drastically simply my home page and turn it into a splash page?

I am a fashion designer and retail mystuff online as well, and would like to feature photos from my ad campaign before I send a user to the actual shop.

I don't necessarily want people to come directly to my page that looks like a store front. With paypal verified icons and stuff.

Ultimatley I'd like to slap a nice glossy JPEG or flash movie on the home page and just have a few navigation links i.e., About Us, Shop Online, Contact, Collection.

Something on the level of these "landing page" homepage.

I want to further brand my website and enhance the user experience, but not loose ranking in the search engines.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Ok, lets do this another way.

How do I disable the PayPal, Currencies modules only on the index.php main page?

Another option I was thinking might solve my problem would be creating a pop-up window from the home page that can show case photos, videos, flash, etcetera.

I guess the only problem with this is.. the infamous pop-up blockers.

If I go with this option, were would I integrate the html pop-up code?

IF you realy want a splash page try creating it as index.html with a link into index.php
