You could try the authorize.net module from v1.3.7 as a test.
You'll need to grab these files from the v1.3.7 zip and copy them to your server:
/includes/modules/payment/authorizenet_aim.php
/includes/languages/english/modules/payment/authorizenet_aim.php
/includes/modules/pages/checkout_payment/jscript_main.php
I *think* those are the only dependencies.
After uploading, you'll need to go to your Admin, and Remove and then re-Install the AIM module.
I recommend enabling debug logging. You can inspect the debug logs in the /cache folder to see if any specific errors are being reported.
