Adding 'Specials' image

I have just put a couple of items at a special introductory price and would like to know if there is an easy way to add images or icons such as "SPECIAL" or INTRODUCTORY OFFER' - (maybe flashing), either beside the main price or the price after the description?

I am using 1.3.5 (Yea I know I should upgrade but scared to death of losing what I have running nicely now...lol! - Been there..done that and got VERY frustrated)

First ... upgrade ... you really do not want to run a site in v1.3.5 ... there are several issues that are all fixed up in v1.3.7 plus the current patch at:
http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=56216

The display price is built by a function ... by altering that function you can change the display price everywhere ...

If you only want to change the display price in one location, then you may need to use a different approach for that one page ...

Note: functions do not have overrides so be sure to backup the original file plus your changes ...

I wanted to add a 'specials' image beside the price . Is that the same thing?

I posted more because I posted the original question over a week ago and didn'tget any response...so I didn't know where to put it and didn't want to take any chances...lol
