Default Can I use a table to do this?

We would like for there to be a per item charge on shipping and handling costs.

There will be a $5 charge for shipping, to start with, and 1 dollar per item thereafter.

    For example:

    I buy 1 shirt, shipping is $5
I buy 3 shirts, shipping is $7 dollars

I guess another way to approach it is to set a flat rate of $1 per item, and then add a handling charge of $4? Where can I do that?

    Thanks

    Bah... got it...

It's the "Per Item" shipping module. I put in a $4.00 handling fee and $1.00 per item

How will this show up to the customer? Some how this looks backwards to me. Is there another way to do this?

I would like to charge $2.50 for the first item and then .50 cents for each additional item. Is this possible?

So you would do 2.00 for handling, and then set each item to .50

When they buy only one item, that 50 cents will be added to the 2.00 handling fee, equaling $2.50 shipping & handling.

So if someone bought 2 items That would be 2X .50= $1.00
Then 2x $2.00 handling fee for a total of $5.00 . Then the cost of the 2 items? Is that correct?

What I have in my BISI Store is someone buys a product at $3.00
Then they buy another product at $3.00 they would spend $2.50 for the Shipping of the first and only an additional .50 cents to ship the 2nd item. a total of $3.00 shipping for 2 items, or $3.50 for 3, or $4.00 for 4 ect..

Sounds right. Plug it in and test it out.

edit: The handling fee would only be charged once, as it should.
So, your first example would be a $2.00 handling fee, plus 50 cents for each item (2 = $1), for a total of $3.00 S&H
