Hi Linda,
The Update Qty button on the Shopping Cart Items page won't make sense to the shopper, and isn't needed, since my store is set up to not allow the buyer to change the qty. I sell one each of my items.
However, I did notice that the update qty button will command on the delete action, if the item 'checkbox' is selected, so it still has that limited functionality, especially the update button that is below the list of shopping cart items. That same use of the button in the line item really wouldn't be needed, though, since each item has a trash can button (see screenshot from my post earlier today).
The button just continues to appear next to the fixed qty of 1 and seems a little silly. Not a huge deal, and I was hoping there would be an admin switch for turning it off, rather than asking/bugging you guys for a code solution. Thx,
J.

I would set it to show Below all the products so when I have 12 things in the cart I can check the boxes on 4 of them for deletion and hit 1 update button or delete one by one ...

Hi Linda, thanks for your response. Yeah, I get that. The button already does show at the bottom of the list. It also shows in each line item, next to a qty 1 that can't be edited. That's what I was originally wanting to turn off; the qty 1 cannot be updated by the update qty button directly next to it.
That's all I was wondering about changing. happy Tuesday!
