I want to go live, but my store says
STORE NOT OPEN

how to I get rid of this and go live?

Open your admin, go to Tools> Developers Tool Kit. Copy the text you want to look for from your catalog, paste it in the box on the lower left, choose all files, click go. Tah dah! Magic! A list withe the files that contain the phrase you are looking for will appear.

I got this response

Line #51 : define('HEADING_TITLE', 'STORE NOT OPEN');

Line #55 : define('HEADING_TITLE', 'STORE NOT OPEN');

how to do I change this?

also I think even if I fix this... the store is not fully functional...

I had some orders placed, but they stayed pending and they did not really get charged.... this leads me to beleive something is not fully functional.
