However, a word of caution. I am also a new zenner, and am not sure about the validity of the following. However, I am stuck working for someone who INSISTS on shipping via DHL and this is what I THINK I have found in my research here regarding DHL/Airborne shipping and Zen Cart.

• The author of the ShipIt module, dreamscape, has apparently abandoned the project. From what I can tell, over a year ago.
• DHL has asked the zen cart officials if anybody else is picking up the project, but I have found no info with an affirmative answer to that.
• The last really valid discussion of the ShipIt module, problems, and solutions seems to be dated about april, 2006.

So as of this writing (july 2007) I cannot tell if it is wise to install ShipIt, nor if any problems are encountered support can be found from anybody. Unfortunately, I have no choice.

Perhaps somebody official can chime in with current status on whether the DHL shipping on Zen Cart project has been abandoned, if support is available, or if there are other alternatives to ShipIt available. /Dan

I came up with the same dead end. I like to use DHL because I get a much better discount from them AND they are MUCH faster to and from China. By using DHL for domestic shipments it becomes a cost center rather than just an expense.
More information that you needed to know but that is my motivation. Thank you very much for you response. I will let you know if I ever find out anything positive with respect to DHL.

I'm actually considering writing my own fully functional DHL module (need it for a client) and then reselling it for a nominal fee.

I take there is some interest in this?

I use DHL for sending Domestic and International shipments. It would be great if someone developed the shipping module for ZenCart. I'd be willing to pay a small fee.

Anyone?
