Missing Google checkout button

Missing Google checkout button

I have installed the google checkout mod and everything seemed to be working great right up until a test run and Google Checkout is listed but there is no radio button. The one for paypal just below it works? I have checked the file structure three times, which doesnt mean it is right just that I have missed the same thing three times. I couldnt find anything in the forum for this particular problem although I havent been thru all 105 pages of the first thread yet.

Anyone have any ideas on where to find my button?
This project was originally slated for next week but I had a customer e-mail and said she would only use google and not paypal so it became a little more critical.

Well I never did get GC to work properly but had other projects to get to so I will have to come back to it eventually. I did learn that my missing button should have never been there in the first place. The only two GC buttons show up at the login page and the shopping cart page but not at the checkout page.

My problem is more that I have a missing radio button. I do not have the option to select google checkout at that point.

Well you are not supposed to have the radio button on the checkout page.

Then how do I select google checkout over one of the other payment gateways?

Well if I understand the whole process correctly when they go to your login page there should be a button there and they will actually login thru google checkout

You are correct in that there is a google checkout button there. There is also a 'go to checkout' button. If yhey click on the 'go to checkout' one it takes them to the section where they could select a gateway.

google ckeckout is ONLY available before a customer logs in,

there is not supposed to be a button there after they create an account

Actually the GC button is suppose to be available even when logged into Zen Cart.

The button is ONLY on the login and shopping cart pages.

There should be no instance of Google Checkout on the Zen Cart checkout page (step 2 payment method page). Previous versions had a "bug" which did show GC option on that page.

This has been discussed thoroughly on the "Google Checkout module for Zen Cart (beta)" support thread at

And to respond to another question above, a Zen Cart "checkout" link displays in the Zen Cart header whenever an item is in the shopping cart. That link points straight to Zen Cart checkout. So customers will not have an opportunity to view or click the Google Checkout button. I recommend pointing the header "checkout" link to the shopping cart page, so this does not occur. I'm unsure if the same issue applies to PayPal Express Checkout.
