    Default error message in header - no such file

    Took me a while to see how to post somewhere here...
    Anyway, been playing with admin of my shop cart.
    Today after adding just two items, the header of the live shop side went haywire, but I regained the admin header.

    Anyone understand the gibberish on php where there are three lines showing errors now, & I have no idea how to get back to a proper live shop front.

    I have ordered the book, as I can study that better than online manuals, but nothing here in forums & help quite puts me right about this mess.

    try this http://transportpostcards.co.uk/shop....php?main_page=
    where it shows the errors, if if not go to the shop folder alone.

    The error message:
    includes/languages/custom/english.php) [function.main]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory
    Do you have such a file in that folder?

    Yes I do, and I have followed the copy of the original files as per FAQ & made a CUSTOM folder too.
    There is something around this that it must have gone haywire.
    I was trying to play with the CSS files so that I could give the background the colour I wanted & find the default width adjustment in pixels.

    I have posted the screen shot of my hardrive (copy of server),
    so you can see what I mean at transportpostcards.co.uk/shop/errorphp.jpg
    also tried adding the file here.

    You might consider verifying that you want it called "CUSTOM" ... vs "custom"

    Filenames and folders are case-sensitive, and consistency is required.

    Yes I'm aware of that on filenames as some servers are fussy, some not.
    But I just followed exactly what it said in the FAQ section and it refers to CUSTOM in caps?

    Such as;
    Next, copy the includes/templates/template_default/css directory and place the folder and its files in your new includes/templates/CUSTOM/ folder.

    I will change to lowercase & see if it has any effect. The uploaded file to my pages was the right file, but attached the wrong one in the forum, but you gather the files are there.

    There is a lot to grasp on Zen Cart for newbies.
    Thanks for guideance

    Nope, CUSTOM is now custom;

    Warning: main(includes/languages/custom/english/email_extras.php) [function.main]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/nostalg/public_html/shop/includes/languages/custom/english.php on line 635

    Warning: main(includes/languages/custom/english/email_extras.php) [function.main]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/nostalg/public_html/shop/includes/languages/custom/english.php on line 635

    Fatal error: main() [function.require]: Failed opening required 'includes/languages/custom/english/email_extras.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/nostalg/public_html/shop/includes/languages/custom/english.php on line 635

    nothing else on page at all now.

    Looks like I found it...

    folder;
    includes\languages\custom only had english.php
    it needed to be includes\languages\custom\english\
    with that folder duplicated what was in the english folder,
    includes\languages\english

    Now I can get back to see how to widen the display, too much white each side of cart & change white background to ffffcc like my own site pages.

    Thanks again for the help.
