mix and match products

Hi all,

I need to be able to give customers the option to mix and match different products (wine bottles in my case) so that their total order comes out as a multiple of 12 (size of 1 wine case).

Is there a way to achieve this simply? By tweaking product qty min/max/units for example? I would have thought that I could use "Product Qty Min/Unit Mix" to achieve this, but I guess I misunderstood what that variable does.

Edit: I forgot to mention another problem somewhat related to the above. I need to be able to set a weight and freight cost per wine case, _not_ per individual wine bottle. What is the best way to achieve that?

Sorry I didn't do a more thorough search of the forum, there are a number of similar threads, even another wine related thread with the same number of 12 bottles.

Is the best method still modifying the >0 items check in the checkout code as per Ajeh's comment in this thread?
