using sidebars outside of the store

I have my zen carts store based at /store/ and i have the information part of my site in the root.

Originally the idea was to have the store and information side of the site very seperate, but now they want them more combined, but they also want to have the information site updatable by themselves. They are going to be using contribute because its easy for them...

So what i want to do is somehow access the side boxes in a page that is outside of the store. When they use the links they are forward through to the store. Is there anyway to use the existing code, or do i need to create new separate connection to the database and set up the side box.

I can do this for the manufacturers and the products, but not sure about it for the shopping basket...

Any ideas?

Might have to use easy pages with includes but then the client will not have the best view of the page when they are editing...

Any help is greatly appreciated...

Im having trouble getting this to function correctly.

I ammended the code inside the sidebox.php to point towards application_top.php but when it finds it it tries to run the zen carts installer, which has been removed to it simply says that the file cannot be found.

Any ideas?

Basically, when i do this it looks at the application_top.php, but looks at it as if it was in my rot folder so its not finding any of the bits it tests for so it tries to run the installer. Everything to do with the sidebox, is looking at the root folder rather that the store folder. How can i change this?

I got it working but it's not following the CSS of the rest of the site.

I have this working now. I had to move everything within the /store/ folder and to get the css working ok, i added the neccessary code from the zencarts css file to my sites css. And its now all working great...
