Sign into your hosting control panel and use the file manager there if you can't change them using your ftp program

Hi,
I logged onto the control panel. I can see the folders are all ticked but they are greyed out
What do I do?
Attributes are set as follows in the control panel:
Read / Write / Script exec / Full Exec / Browse
This is on all folders
This is what I need to do but I don't know how. Cant find this option on FLASHFXP
On a Windows Server, especially if running under IIS, you will have to right-click on the file, click on Security, and ensure that the "Internet Guest Account" or IUSR_xxxxxxx user has read and write access
Windows servers don't let you use FTP programs to change file permissions.
You have to use your hosting control panel to do that.
If you cannot get your hosting control panel to work, contact your hosting company for assistance.

I knew there was a reason I don't use windows hosting....

I have changed the configure.php files permission in both ftp and control panel (plesk) but still the installer shows unwriteable for admin/includes/configure.php & includes/configure.php
I don't know if I did something wrong, but I tried many times, still the same. can someone help me...
I also changed the permissions on both the FTP and CP and It didn't work.
Apparently if your site is hosted on a Windows server then you must contact your hosting company to change the permissions for you.
Mine worked out fin but I am facing other problems. I don't know if its beacuse I am using a windows server.
yea, the hosting company helped me change the permissions, it's working now, thanks.
