Same problem here. I edited the tpl_craftysyntax_sidebox to make sure it listed the proper name for the cPanel installed livehelp directory.
I then changed the settings under the livehelp admin to have livehelp use my direct ip instead of trying to resolve a domain name.
After that, Ms. Padilla's sidebox worked like magic. Not her fault, I hadn't fully resolved the domain name yet, and I hadn't checked how cPanel's automated live help install had named the directory for live help.
