The inability to upload product images will be a permissions problem on your /images folder.
The installation documentation explains which folders need to be made writable. See the /docs folder for more details on that.

It was correctly setup, all the stuff was green etc with setup, that setup windows you get, zc_install.
Everything is back to std, just using the old admin>includes>configure file, and still the prices don't show in preview, it just says 0.
Is the block where you enter the details for adding the product price, are it supposed to be like a light blue?
Could the colour not mean something?
Thanx for the help guys, need to get to the bottom of this.
The color is intentional ... it just groups pricing fields together.

Without seeing this in action, I cannot help you further.
Additionally, if you don't know who your host is, you really shouldn't be considering starting an online business with them as a partner.
If your host has told you that "it's set up for Zen Cart" , the please go and ask *them* to fix these problems. The code normally works fine out-of-the-box. If you have a fresh clean install and it's not working, I'm going to be bold and point the finger at the server and the host. If they want to defend themselves, then perhaps they can make it work for you.
Sorry.
I suspect loading it on another host will find it working properly.
If you have a choice, stay away from Windows hosting.

Thank You for your help, will be in touch, hopefully not.
Here are all the permissions, just the configure files, permissions have been closed.
Can you now please help.
I can't change host, paid upfront for a year.
Thanx

File and Folder PermissionsIn order for many Zen Cart™ administrative and day-to-day functions to work properly, You need to mark several files/folders "Writeable". The following is a list of folders which need to be "read-write", along with recommended CHMOD settings. Please correct these settings before continuing installation. Refresh this page in your browser to re-check settings.
Some hosts may not allow you to set CHMOD 777, but only 666. Start with the higher setting first, and switch to lower values if required.
