Remove header logo, replace header bg

I search thru the forums but didn't find anything.

I want to remove the logo in the header (powered by zen cart), and replace the header bg (sit behind the logo) with my banner, center it, because isn't big enough, and link to the index when click on it.

I use the following code

but the image isn't dead center, is lean more toward the left, i dónt know why

You should put your image in the logo div. That's where the link is already; it's just a matter of replacing the image.
