Error when customizing Header

I modified includes/languages/english/classic/header.php with a simple text change, but after saving the change and loading the page, I get this error:


Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/mykids/public_html/store/includes/languages/english/classic/header.php:1) in /home/mykids/public_html/store/includes/init_includes/init_templates.php on line 78

For the life of me, I cannot figure out what that means, or what to do about it.

Any help is much appreciated.

Replace header.php with an unmodified copy and if this clears this up - revisit what you altered

That did it, though I surely dunno why - no changes other than those words, but we all know that computers are quite sneaky at times.

What did you use to edit the file?
Anything except a pure text editor is very likely to add blank lines or spurious characters, which are death in headers, and cause that message

Used the editor in FileZilla, straight text. But perhaps the line burped while saving. Anyway, thanks for the help!
