Customer Referrals

Is there any way of setting up a customer referral program? I want to email our customers and offer some reward for referring other customers. I cant seem to find anything on this ?

I was just thinking about that today actually. The coincidence is I was just going to suggest it myself but for admins rather than customers. However, it still would be feasable for customers too by coding a MOD of it.

You might look at the built in customer referral and see if you can adapt that to work in the manner you wish to use ...

It is meant to be a tracking for first time orders and visitors to the site by giving out Discount Coupons where the Discount Coupon is used as the referral code ...

The Customer Referral Report is then generated from this to show you the amount in sales that continues to evolve on these accounts ...

Thanks for your replies. I see the Customer Referral Report in admin but i cant find anything anywhere to find out what it is and how to set it up. What i wanted to do was email existing customers and give them some sort of reward if they referred our site that resulted in a purchase? Hope you can help with this

I would also be very interested in this.
I would like to be able to actually mail out a cheque to an existing customer if they refer someone to the site and it ends in a successful sale.
However like Press Play Music I am not sure where these features are or how I could implement this?
Any chance of a bit of a hand-holding through the idea?

I too am looking for more assistance with this feature. I would like a drop down pre set menu that I create for sales reps and affiliate tracking.

It seems as though this is not a hot topic for getting help with.

I'd like to just add to the create an account area a section with a drop down that says:
How did you find us.

Then have a drop down with choices I can customize.

Any chance this already exists?
