red flag unwanted alternative text hyperlink

I have been using e-start your web store by Goh Koon hoek and recommend it to newbies like myself! The FAQ tutorials are also very good.

However I have a problem I can't resolve. I have created a bannersAll side box into which I have inserted my own jpeg. I deleted the original bw_zen_88wide.gif. Now I have my jpeg but underneath it is a 'alternative text' hyperlink 'zen cart the art of e-commerce' (the jpeg I have deleted as previously stated).

I have used all my limited skills to track this down in various includes, template folders, php files but cannot find where the code for this is sitting. How can I get rid of it? (Unrelated -I no longer have it in my header by the way which I know is a common question and which I know the answer to).

When I look at the properties of this link with Mozilla firefox it shows link properties as: http://www.example.com/store/index.p...=banner&goto=6
The above link opens a new window for zen-cart.com

Mozilla Firefox shows original image properties location as http://www.example.com/store/images/...zen_88wide.gif
alternative text:Zen Cart the art of e-commerce

It is the alternative text that is being displayed and that is the hyperlink. My own image does not hyperlink. The bw_zen...gif is the image deleted. (My own jpeg called freedelivery.jpg is sitting above the alternative text)

Try changing the value for the Banner Title field as seen in the first screen shot on pg 347 of the book.

Btw, no one will be able to view your site since the links are valid for your local machine only.

    Problem solved!

How I did it. Very simple solution. Delete all banners in banner manager until no entries are in there at all. Create new banner. Voila! No more annoying hyperlink!
