User Specific Categories

Am sorry if this is a newbe question but am looking to have categories that are specific for a given user based upon their login. Is this possible ?

It may be possible, but if so will take a lot of skilled coding to achieve.

More specifics on desired behavior will let those with the skill assess the possibilities.

What I have a need for is some of my customers want their own "products" to order from that only they can access. We are in the gift hamper business so these are specific hampers for them (with their own prices). So based upon login only that cutsomer can see a specific category we have set up for them. We only do it for very good customers etc.

Actually, you may be in luck.
S_mack contributed a mod for a very similar purpose. You can see it in Downloads > Other Modules > hideCategories.
