0 DB_ERROR_NOT_CONNECTED ADMIN Problem After Moving To New Hosting

I moved a version 1.2.6 zen cart to new hosting and get a blank page with --- "0 DB_ERROR_NOT_CONNECTED"when I go to ADMIN, the site shows up with categories and subcategories, but there is a "1054 Unknown column 'p.products_id' in 'on clause'" error appearing at the product level and none of the products are listed... I've checked the configure.php files and based on my limited knowledge, they look OK... I have installed a current version of zen cart 1.3.7 and started the customization all over again using stylesheets, but want to access and move the products on the old version to the new one.

Well, I don't find the new version at all, and the old version clicks away to an ip address and not a domain name when you click on any link.

means:
You are not connecting to the database. - your /includes/configure.php has incorrect database information

when I go to ADMIN, the site shows up with categories and subcategories
means:
Your /admin/includes/configure.php has the correct database information.

means:
You have moved from MySQL 4 to MySQL 5. Search these forums on ' 1054 unkown p.products' or similar.

I hope the 2 installations have different databases? This is normally done by taking a backup of the original store, restoring it to the new store database, and running 'Upgrade Database' from the Zen Cart installer.

I am the owner of this site and am still having some problems that werent completed by the person who installed the cart. It looks terrible in IE6 and when a person checks out they get "this page contains secure and non secure items, do you want to continue?"

It works well in firefox, which I use. I am seeing that many people are visiting the site and using the cart, and then their session expires. I am wondering if this is due to the fact that they think the site is not secure?

I have had another person look at the code, and they say it is done incorrectly. I would like to learn this cart myself, but am a bit afraid of the c panel area, I am fairly confident in the admin area.

I have the zen cart book but am not finding too much help on the php, css which I am totally unfamiliar with. I am wary of paying someone else $500 to fix something that I have already spent $1300 on (and we provided graphics) but perhaps I will have to- I would just like to find someone who really knows what they are doing and that I can trust.

found someone great to repair the code , which was bad. I highly recommend camelot hosting and marsh web designs, who have helped me determine the glitches.

check permissions on the configure.php, they might not be set to WRITE and you are not overwriting it with the new settings
