Modify main page centerbox to "long" listing type

Can anyone help me figure out how to modify the main page's centerbox product listings to match the "long", or perhaps more accurately "wide" product listing style?

Check out the attachments to see what I want and what I currently have.

Just want to bring this one back up -- I still would like to figure this out. If this has been poking around your brain for the last few weeks, perhaps you have something to add?

Main page items are normally what's new, Featured, Specials -

What you want is these to display like the normal "product listing" or perhaps slightly modified - or the sidebox "new products" listing or "featured" listing - these are different intentionally but I don;t recall the reason.

You need to select one of these displays and clone this code for the others.

You have determined which display and file for what you want - Which display do you want to alter?

What your examples show is the all listing as you desire, and specials & new listings stacked.

This is configurable in admin > Configuration > Featured Listing, New Listing, etc.

CHange the four-digit code for each element per the instructions, setting the last digit to 0 where you want the next element beside instead of below the current element.


To get the identical listing style as the product listing, you will need to do as Kobra is suggesting.
