    Default Minimum attribute quantity?

First allow me to say that this forum has been paramount for making my sites work, and I don't hesitate to recommend it to my customers when they need a commerce solution.

This is the issue I am currently experiencing.

This particular website sells tattoo things, and the thing that I am working on is a 'flash combo pack' where you can pick individual pages of 'flash' (just pretend they are posters) at a preset price each, but I need to be able to force a minimum order of 6 of these. But not for the entire site or cart.

What I have currently done is added each sheet as an attribute (since we don't actually want to sell them individually, they must be in this pack) with a price addition, and this works flawlessly. The issue is that I can't force someone to pick 6 attributes (that I know of). They can pick as many as they want, but it needs to be at least 6. If someone has a better solution, I'd love to hear it.

    Thanks in advance!

    Chris

In the product entry area - price by each and set the min to 6 and if a purchase of 7 or 8 is OK leave the unit blank or if only as sets of 6 set the unit to 6...also turn on mix
If Mix is ON then a mix of attributes options may be used to make up the Quantity Minimum and Units. This means you can mix 1 blue, 3 silver and 2 green to get 6.
Then provide as attributes the selections that you have

Thank you for the quick response!

I probably did a poor job of explaining the issue I'm having. The quantity should pretty much always be one, and add a minimum of 6 attributes, and only one of each attribute, so I used checkboxes for each.

I sincerely doubt anybody will ever want to order multiple quantities of these, so doing a single is cool.

Let say you have posters of car movies, but you can only buy them in a value pack and you have to buy a minimum of 3 in that pack. So maybe you'd call it 'super car movie poster value pack!', and since the items aren't for sale anywhere else in your cart, they maybe wouldn't be a product unto themselves? And then you list each movie poster as an attribute for the order and +$20 for each, but you have to order 3 or more. Going to 'Super Car Movie Value Pack' and checking the checkbox for 2 would give you an error, but checking 3 would let you finish checking out.

Maybe I did it wrong by doing them as attributes? Not really sure of a better way to implement this.

    Thanks again,

    Chris
