Default Using Aweber instead of Zen Cart Newsletter

I have set up Aweber to handle my mailing list, so I was wondering whether it's possible to edit the create account page so that the "Join the Mailing List?" question on the create account page can be fed directly into Aweber.

Currently I'm having to see if my customers subscribed to the zen cart list and then go manually add them to the Aweber list. If there was someway to directly get them on to Aweber list that would be idea.

I know there is an Aweber sidebox contribution, but I don't think it does this...

Thanks in advance for your help!

edit: and now I realize I probably put this in the wrong category, I apologize. :)

Does aweber have any documentation available about using their API to auto-submit subscribers?

I just looked into it, and unfortunately Aweber does not even have an API. Is there any way to accomplish this task without the Aweber API? I'm willing to pay a programmer if necessary so that I can eliminate the manual task of adding new subscribers all the time. Thanks in advance.

You could do some custom coding and write a CURL script to run in the background and take the submitted name and address and do a POST to the aweber site just as if the customer had filled in the form on your own site and clicked Submit.

David, I did this for MailChimp.

    http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?ma...roducts_id=632

I'm sure AWeber has a similar mechanism; they advertise this as "step 2" of their sales process ("
Use the integrated Web Form Generator ... to create ... standard forms that are easily installed on your website ..."). The thing I don't like about your suggested approach, though, is that it's not double opt-in the way MailChimp is.

    Good luck,
