I installed the revised module last night. Only had a few minutes to check it out, but it seems to be woking just fine. Thank you very much!

Dimensional shipping is how Canada Post determines their rates, so it is important for all shipping needs. Weight is a factor, but comparing actual past receipts with the estimates I was getting from the module showed a marked discrepancy in the cost. Hopefully the dimensional aspect will solve that for me.

Unfortunately since I'm in a shared hosting package versus a dedicated server, port 30000 cannot be enabled for me. Is there a way to get around this?

    TIA,
    Tat

Canada Post does not offer any other option for talking to their servers.
You will have to get your hosting company to open the port, or choose one of their other hosting packages, or try another hosting company that will open the port.

    Canada Post Shipping Module v1.3.7d

I've added a small update to this module which allows the user to base the handling fee as a percentage of the shipping amount.

This is useful because some payment methods charge a percentage fee on the total charge including shipping.

The update is only available from the Numinix Technology website.

    Hello there,

I don't know if anyone else experienced this but when I try to enter the length, width, and height and save the product it sets everything to 12.00. It also doesn't let me select inches or lbs but it default it all the time to cm and gr.

    I would appreciate your help.

Sounds like an issue with listing your products. The Canada Post module will only accept whatever units you've set it up to accept. So, if your website uses lb/inches, you need to change this in the Canada Post configuration to accept lb/inches and always use lb/inches when you input your products.
