    Default Catalog Only

My apologies if this is elsewhere in the forums. I have tried a number of search keys and have had no luck in finding it. I am helping some friends set up a catalog for their store and at this time they do not want to actually sell stuff online. They are planning on adding this option within 12 months. At this time they simply want a catalog without the option to add to a cart and/or check out.

Is this possible with Zen and if so can someone point me in the right direction for setting this up?

    Thanks a million!

    Eric

You can do this very easily in Zen.

When you enter your products, simply mark them as "call for price" and they will not be able to be added to the cart. If you don't want them to say "call for price", then you can edit the associated language file to remove that text, and what will show in place of it is nothing.

In addition, from within the Admin, you can easily turn on and off the "Add to Cart" and / or "Buy Now" buttons.

You could also make the products items that "cannot be added to the cart" which again can bee done through the admin. So, in short. Yes, you can do it with Zen (did you expect anything less)

EDITED: I hit submit and see Kobra has the exact "how to". :) Thanks kobra!

Thanks a million for the quick response from both of you. This makes Zen a keeper!

    Cheers!
