Hi,

Before, I install and try to set up my site, I was hoping some folks could give me their opinion on whether Zen-Cart will meet my needs.

Basically, I need a basic shopping cart that I will use to sell some new cds (which I will have multiple copies available) as well as some items from my record collection that I will only have one copy of.

-- I want to be able to customize the cart so it fits the look and has the header (with all the buttons, links...) of my site that I am creating. And would I be able to link these buttons to pages for products with certain parameters. For example, link to all Beatles CDs or link to all vinyl.

-- Payment would be made through PayPal. I wouldn't be taking credit cards on the site itself. In other words at checkout, I would want to be able to direct to paypal for payment.

-- I would want to be to list and item that I only had 1 quantity of and hopefully once someone purchased it, zen cart would be able to remove it from the site so another person doesn't try to buy it.

-- On the pages where products are listed, I would want to be able to add buttons that would link to mp3s located on the site, so people can hear clips.
I am assuming I would upload fields for items and a picture. But would there be a way to upload buttons that would go next to the picture that would link to MP3 clips elsewhere on the site

-- Would there be advantages or disadvantages of installing zen cart in the main root folder versus a subfolder called shop.

-- I want to be able something simplier or more advanced


I would appreciate any opinions anyone might have on whether Zen Cart would meet my needs and be a good choice.
