    Default Templates don't take

    Hi all,

It seems that templates don't take on my Zen Cart installation. I've tried applying a couple of them, but don't see any change.

My Zen cart is at www.punkervision.net/store and you'll see that there's so sensible style template applied to it, despite my best efforts.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a solution?

    Thanks in advance,

    Pete

Well, it's calling the stylesheet from:

    <link href="includes/templates/gloss_blue/css/stylesheet.css" type="text/css" rel="stylesheet">

Is your stylesheet.css missing from that folder?

    Yup, the stylesheet is there.

I also notice that there are missing images on the pages too - I checked the folders they're being called from and found that the image files are all present and correct.

I have no idea where to start with this problem.

    Anyone?

    Thanks again,

    Pete

Does the default template still work?

If the default template looks any different to the current state of the shop, then I don't think it ever worked.

Hmm.....I see it's now calling for a "darkness" stylesheet. I guess you ARE applying them in Admin>Tools>Template Selection, right?

I don't have an Admin>Tools directory at all. The templates are going into Includes>Templates. The Zen cart admin panel recognises them without a problem, and I can apply them without any complaint. They just don't seem to take in the cart itself.

Yea, that's what I was talking about was the Admin Panel in ZC, NOT any folders.

You'll see that in this forum, when someone describes a specific place in the Admin Panel, they will use ">" to show that. If they are talking about folder directories, they will use a "/".

I was just making sure that ZC DID recognize the template in the Template Selection.

    Thanks for the clarification.

Problems like this do bad things to my brain. :)

    Thinks...

Images are loading fine from some directories, but not from others. Could this be a permissions issue?

    Unthinks.
