EZ pages help!

Hello,

So I've tried to create an "About Us" EZ pages. What are the steps I have to do so that I can create one in the footer of my website, and have it so that I can edit via the define pages editor.

I tried creating an about_us.php and placed in several folders, but for some reason I can't really define it and when I click on it's like page not found. I tried the internal link with the index?=about_us.php but that didn't seem to work either.

I have the zen-cart book and it doesn't really elaborate on how to create a page where it can easily be linked, defined and displayed on the front page.

My second question is, can EZ page links be multilingual? If so which php file do I have to look for to edit the languages?

See the module "about us" in the downloads/other area and read the instructions for it.

By default ezpages are not multi lingual - but I think that there is a module in the downloads area that might assist

For a monolingual site I would use EZ-Pages for an About Us page. Just click on the New File button on Admin > Tools > EZ-Pages and then enter "About Us" in the title, set header, sidebox and TOC to NO. Check that Footer is YES and give it a non-zero Order (the step that you may be missing). Then put your content in the big box and do not put anything in the internal or external link fields. And that's it.

For a multi-lingual store, Kobra is right. There is a Multi-language EZ-Pages add-on module and it works well, giving you extra fields for the title and content for each additional language. It works well and is probably still the easiest option, though people do sometimes get themselves into trouble if they don't follow the installation instructions precisely.

Kobra also mentions another add-on alternative - the dedicated About Us module. It's easier to install, but very slightly more complicated to use on a multi-lingual site, though if you're used to separating your text into language files already, it won't present any significant problems.

If you use the About Us add-on module, you can add a link to it into your footer, either by editing the tpl_footer.php file directly, or by pointing to it via EZ-Pages by creating an internal link. The approach would be similar to above, except that you would leave the HTML Content box empty and insert index.php?main_page=about_us into the Internal Link URL box.

Hey,
if I run a monolingual site that has other than English as language, do I need to install the multilanguage EZ-Pages anyway? I do not seem to get the EZ-Pages working now, no matter what guides I read and try...
