change sidebox width does not work??

In the Admin>config>layout settings I changed the sidebox width and matched the column width to it but the sideboxes did not seem to get bigger, it it moved to the right on the bottom but the top stayed put?? I THINK its in the stylesheet perhaps, where i need to go to modify this, but i am not sure. Have a look at the site and see what i am talking about. help?

Well, I have put it back the way it was for now, research has shown that these are images, cleverly made to expand themselves to the right width, i just can't figure out how... Any suggestions about how to do this would be appreciated..

This template is designed with fixed width sideboxes. If you want them a different width you will need to edit the header & bottom images in Photoshop or the like, and then set the width to match in admin.

thanks for the reply.. i will do that, but when i looked at the images it seemed as though they had made provisions for it to be self expanding, there are little slivers of the box cross sections (vertical and horizontal) and header/footer cross sections also, which indicated that this was a self-adjusting width and height sidebox template. Guess they never got 'round to coding that feature in.. Thanks again for the help!

These allow for vertical expansion but as gjh42 pointed out the width is "fixed" and with a gradient it is difficult to create one that will look good horizontally
