Drop down Box/Editable Text Field Color

Ive gone through and made all the changes to my style sheet to reflect the color scheme that i want, but i seem to have messed up my drop down boxes and editable text fields in the process leaving them hard to use. when a customer uses the drop down boxes all of the items in the drop down box are black on a black background and you can only see them if you highlight them. also, in my editable fields (take the contact info fields for instance) if you select the box to type in your info (i.e. your email address) the field is black and what you type is black so you cant see what you're typing. once you select a different box the field you were just working on turns white and the entered test is visible. what do i need to do to either change the test color or the box color? if anyone wants the link to see an example let me know and i'll put it up.

ok, since i was an idiot and posted this in the wrong forum, when i started searching through the right forum i got it figured out. sorry about that.
