IE display issues

Hey all, I've abandoned trying to get the nav to line up in the header in both IE & FF (which is fine) IE 'Layering' issue thread below

Now I just need to resolve a couple of issues...in IE the 'home' & 'login' links don't show up, only a small link inside the header. I guess I need to isolate that tag or something?

The other thing is the underline upon hover in the nav shows up near the top more like a strikethrough.

Okay I kept playing with it & seem to have it...now I think it lines up the same in FF too.

margin: 0.5em;
list-style-type: none;
text-align: right;
line-height: 1em; (changed from 0em)
