Hi
I am trying to install zen-cart on my server, but I cant get past the database setup. when I am trying to save the database settings the following error appears
Connection to Database failed
Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (2)Can anyone help me out?

Is this a hosted server or your own server?
The error message suggests that either mysql is not running, php support for mysql is not installed or configured, your user does not have the necessary permissions, no database has been created etc etc.

it is a hosted server
I have questioned the host about the problem, but I haven't got an answer yet
