How to add new link and a page under 'More information' ?

Hi,

I have ordered the new Zecart manual just to day but I really need to know how to add a link 'Stock List' under the 'More Information. and a page which will display the 'Stock List' .

I have read EZ FAQ page and still I am finding difficult to follow. Not even sure if that is the way to create a link under 'More Info' and create a new page?

I need some help please

Download the "about us" module in the Downloads/other section on this site.

You will have to adjust this to be in the more info box and not the default Info box described in the instructions.

If you can get your head around ezpages this would be the better method

I read the 'readme' file. Its too much mucking around just to create a page and a link. I have no problem following those instructions but often we need to think of the client and how they could do this.

There is no way I can advise my clients to follow these instructions where they supposed do to be doing in in admin. They'll kill me :-(

I need to figure it out how this can be achieved within admin without hacking or installing yet another mod.

Look here is my client's requests below and it looks easy and common sense to be able to do this type of things easily. Think not

I was wondering if I can add a new option below the Company profile button that says Stockists and is somewhere that I can enter Shops names and contact details even link to their website?
Is this something I can do myself, if yes could you let me know how.

The reason for the intricate install for this is that it relies on the "legacy" method for using the defines page editor in the admin to edit the page content...

ezpages is again what yu need to grasp as once you do it you will be surprised at how easy and versatile these can be and from the admin side only

Ok simple question,


I know I can now create a page with EzPage under 'Important links'

Would it be possible to create a page and the link under 'More Information. using EzPages without any hacking?

More Info has page_2, page_3, etc. these pages can be edited in the admin and you can get the internal url for each like: index.php?main_page=page_2 and add this to the ezpage box.

Edit the ez_pages_definitions.php and the line

define('BOX_HEADING_EZPAGES','Important Links');

to what you want. Then this box will contain all the previous links and can be edited through the admin defines editor for some and through ezpages for the others that you create.

You will then turn off the more info side box and turn on the expage side box that you re-titled to be be same heading text.

Kobra, I am almost with you but little confused.

Do you mean add the link (and how ?) lime so below in ez_pages_definitions.php

Other bit I am confused is

Ol I'll turn off 'more info ' box then turn on 'extra side' box but which re-titled to be the same heading?
Title of the 'more info' is 'more Info' and title of Ezpage headding is 'Important links' so can you again please give me example what you mean.

Sorry to ask more details but once I get my head around it then you won me over :-)
