Newsletter scalability

Hello Zen Cart Community.

Anybody out there have experience with managing a large newsletter list with zen cart?

Anything you did to make it more efficient? Tips, tricks, customizations?

Just kicking the tires here.

You would be better off with a true mailing list program than using Zen Cart to try to manage this ...

The overhead on the server is a killer vs a program that is designed to properly manage a mailing list ...

phpList comes to mind as an option ...
