help with 'set brands' to products

Hi,

I have around 30 makes with an average of 25 models to match to around just 20 products, I have had a developer create all brands and models to a check box spreadsheet (not sure if this is a standard feature with ZC)

I have a hyperlink next to each of the products within my catergories - the link reads 'set brands' this links to the check box spreadsheet within admin, the system will only let me add 10 models at once which is not limited to any one model, if I check more then updates then it simply overides to the 10 new brands checked, I need to add around 30 brands from each relevent model.

I have looked at the maximum values but obviously is not a product but brand, im guessing the max is 10 brands/models to each one product?

The results are to be displayed in the search which is set as the advanced search.

Yeah!!! No idea from your description - 30 to 25 to 20...

No clue what your developer has created for your use?

As this does seem to something custom by your developer no clue as to what you might be expecting this community to provide on code that we have no idea of?

makes: 30 (average 25 models to each make) I have 20 actual items for sale on the website.

2 drop down boxes have been setup for me, on the site the make can be selected then once selected models for that make show in secound box.(like when using a used car website - you select eg. ford, then secound box the model eg focus - one selected results show in the advanced search section of website.

I need to link ex amount of products to each search result.Im thinking that only 10 results in advanced search to one single product is the maximum?

This im sure is a standard feature within ZC admin, something within advanced search, just need to know if this can be changed?

Maybe it is code which has been added by developer but im a newbie so please excuse me, im sure someone can tell me if this is a standard part of ZC or not?

I guess others must have a simular website setup?

Please dont forget that I am only asking not demanding answers so a polite reply would be more benifical. Thanks

another note, all brands and models have been added to admin>catalog>add new brands and models

once in place im sure the software then displays 'set brands' next to each product within category - im sure this is a standard feature?

this is where I am having the problems, once hyperlinked text 'set brands' (before copy item symbols) is clicked it takes you to a checkbox page allowing you to check each model for each brand, i am being restricted to only 10 models per one product for sale I need more than this.

Hopefully this is a little clearer, thanks in advance for anyone willing to help.

The problem is with ZC admin, nothing to do with the site its self, I can not explain this in more simple terms.

again problem is here:

admin > catalog > add new brands and models

once this brands andd models have been added to this section a link shows here:

admin > catalog > categories

select through category to find products where the products are listed to be moved/removed and edited - here is where the link 'set brands' (which is displayed for each product) shows, once clicked this takes you to a new page (within admin) allowing you to check the boxes for each new brand and model which you have created against slected product (item for sale) < here is where i am having the problem - this only allows me to select 10 models against on single item I need to select more - how can this be changed? or can it at all?

any advice, even a simple 'no' would be great, thanks

This does not look to be a feature in a standard default install - but for the above - you are on your own - Good Luck!
