Google Base Feeder Support Thread [OLD]

hey guys, i have this mod version 1.7.1a installed, but it only grabs some of my products? it will create a file 6.3mb or so then stop. it's not timing out, and i've set my max products to infinite (0).

i have around 19k products, but it will only generate around 5-6k of them. it's also a different file size every time i run it?

anyone else have this problem?

Download Version: 1.7.3a from here and upgrade. Version: 1.7.3a comes with a debug. Go to your admin/configurations/google_base/debug and cut it on. It will show you any errors you have.

Just wanted to say that everything is actually working now outside of the debug errors. The cron is good the upload is good - just took it like 3 hours to process on the Base side!


One more question... does the cron tha was posted in the instructions create the feed too or just upload?

Correction in my last post, it will do both for you. You will have to set up a cron job for each one. One to create the feed and one to upload it.

Google has added a new feature in the Google Base account admin where you can define how often you want Google Base to cral your feed file. I suggest everyone use this feature instead of the automatic features of the Google Base Feeder as it will help reduce server load and chance of missed uploads due to errors.

If you are having problems creating a feed, you need to make sure you have a dedicated IP address on your server

i don't know if this is addressed to me, but my issue isn't with feeding the data to google. It's with creating the xml file of all my products. i don't know if this mod can handle a large number of products or not, it seems to just stop at 5-6k, with no error messages. It just stops.

Do you have a dedicated IP address on your server? If you do what is your setting for admin/configuration/google_base/Product Type set at ( top, bottom, or full). If it is set to top try setting it to full and try creating your feed again.

i don't have a dedicated ip on my server, i'm not using the auto feed feature of this mod. I just want it to generate an xml file of all my products. i've tried all 3 top/bottom/full. But no change, the process still stops before completing. i called my hosting company and they ran checks on the mysql databases, and they said all the connections were fine..

i feel this mod is losing connection to my database, it's not timing out, or giving me any errors, it just stops..

I upgraded and it seems to process a few more products, but still only about 25% of the products i have. I enabled the debug and received no errors, no time outs or anything. After about 37-40 seconds it just stops. I tried installing Numinix's old windows live search feeder but the same thing happens. It doesn't process all the products, and i receive no errors..?
