Google Base Feeder Support Thread [OLD]

Hi, I have installed version 1-10-2 of base feeder on a v1.3.8a site (I know I should upgrade) and have resolved all the issues (thanks to previous posts). I have also installed the stock_by_attributes_1-4-13 which I got from the add-ons. Am I right in thinking that work is being done on how to incorperate gtin numbers for each attribute. As each product colour I sell has its own gtin number and currently I can only put one gtin number in the product field.

Look for a folder named numinix_version, either in the store root or in a folder named google_base_feeder. Inside of that folder is a file named google_base_feeder.txt that contains the version number.

The errors you're receiving are because of the new Google feed requirements, and you'll need to update.

RescoCCC thanks for the help. Turns out I'm using google version 1.7.4 Obviously I need to update. Where can I find it? Do I need to update each version until I get to the final version or can I go straight to the latest update? I remember having a little trouble with it in the past.

You can go straight to the latest version. Version 1.10.2 is in the download section here at this site. The latest version is 1.11.2, and is on Numinix's site. I'm using 1.10.2, and have no intention of updating since it's working fine.

Got it. Can I run version 1.10 with my version of Zencart or should I upgrade now to version 1.3.9? I really don't want to go through too much in case I goof something so close to the Christmas.

I have just tried 1.11.2 and my feed is getting double attributes generated. i.e. I have a t-shirt with different sizes and colours. I am getting the following in my feed:

(if you are seeing smilies - accept my apologies they are there from the code in the feed and I could not work out how to turn them off.)


You can see that this product has the colour attribute and size attribute 4 times and it is being rejected by google for duplicating attributes in a feed.

you can also see the title of the product seems to reflect this error as well.
